Bouncing Into Spring
We have kicked off this spring in fine style indeed, with our Best Win, and Best Each Way bets both getting up last week, and we found the trick winner of the Memsie Stakes as our top pick at nice odds.
BEST WIN: Race 3: 8-HENWOOD 1st W=$4.20
BEST EACH WAY: Race 8: 8-DISSIDENT 1st W=$12.90
We started this website 15 years ago out of frustration with how conservative all the tipsters in the newspapers and media were. Look across the selection panels in the newspapers and you will often see the same horse and the same favourites tipped by everyone.
You will struggle to find another tipster who put 8-DISSIDENT in their first four selections, yet alone as top pick and Best Each Way bet. Yet it wasn't a 200-1 outsider, it was well backed on the day, and it had really good form at the top level, and obviously had some chance.
We aim to provide a different opinion, to be a lot more critical, take a few more risks, and tip away from the bleeding obvious - after all it is called "gambling".
Of course, we can't always be right and sometimes we are going to be embarrassingly wrong.
But our form summary for the Memsie Stakes was spot on, the focus was all on the same three horses from the same race in Sydney
and there were plenty of very well performed horses out to double figure odds.
If you have a win following our tips, we would love to hear about it. Drop us an email, or get in touch via Facebook
or Twitter. There were plenty of happy punters last week at Caulfield on our Facebook page.
The Betting Portfolio made a nice $41 profit, so we are in the black so far, but realise
that it is still a hard, long slog to Cup Week, and that is when the form really counts.
So no slacking off.
