Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2013

Many of you are probably wondering where Turf Deli has been hiding since the end of the Spring Campaign last year.

After a less than impressive spring tipping performance, and with the world-wide scandal of Leaky Wiki Tips about to unfold, there was little option after the last race on Sandown Classic Day last year but to take drastic action. Fleeing through a series of top secret underground tunnels under the racecourse we sought sanctuary, and a roast of the day meal special at the Sandown Greyhound Track and Tabaret.

Once there we exercised our right to claim Punting Asylum to avoid being extradited by the angry mob gathered outside screaming for blood - and refunds on their Best Bets of The Day.

Whilst top secret U.S. military waited outside to pounce should we vacate to the car park for a smoko.

Since then we have been left in limbo.

Living off left over sausage roll crumbs.

Filling in the hours in the hypnotic trance of virtual racing games.

Hovering around the flashing lights and glaring sounds of the pokies and hoping and begging not to be mistaken for a machine that was about to pay out big time.

Russian airports and Ecuadorian embassies would be a breeze in comparison.

Desperately filling out TAB slips for citizenship in all the great punting locations and venues: Singapore, Happy Valley, Turffontein, Ascot, and venue codes L, E, Y, C, T and J and whatever was going on the overnight Sky Channel feed.

But now it is time to walk blinking back into the outside world - for spring beckons. We are into the middle of August. The horses have had their birthdays, the one day when it got kinda a little bit cold during winter is long past, and that can only mean it is time for yet another Turf Deli Spring Campaign.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

So what has happened over the last year?

Most of you are probably still eagerly waiting in front of the new TAB website, hoping it may, just may, refresh sometime soon.

Tom Waterhouse is starting to wonder if he is being paranoid, or maybe people might not like him that much ?

The Queen smiled once - and it wasn't when her great grandchild was born, but when her horse won at Royal Ascot.

Which begs the question - if the Queen's horse wins the Melbourne Cup this year is there a chance she may streak naked down the famous Flemington Straight in excitement?

And if she did, is there any chance, any chance at all that would get the Essendon AFL drugs scandal off the front pages?

The Turf Deli Spring Campaign 2013 will operate pretty much the same way it has for the last fifteen or so years.

Every week, for the meetings listed below, we will send forth our newsletters, with plenty of tips and suggested bets for the casual and serious punter alike, plus a critical form analysis for the main race of the day. We will continue to cover all the big racing stories - with the scantest regard for fact and milking every cheap gag we can.

The newsletter emails should be out by 5pm on the day before each race meeting, normally around Friday lunchtime when work productivity reaches its peak.

Meetings covered are :

Peter Lawrence (Liston) Stakes (17/08/2013)
Moonee Valley (24/08/2013)
